Doug: You could hardly overstate how much you are doing for yourself
(and those who care about you or depend upon you) right now. Besides,
if you play your cards right, don't push too hard, but keep it
interesting, you will find, I think, that you will come to love
running.
That is not to say that you will love each time you go out to run. You
may not love having to get up earlier, or however you fit it into your
schedule. But right now, I am off (hopefully for just a few weeks) for
a rather severe achilles heel injury, and it is driving me nuts. So be
careful and have fun. It's a really good thing you are doing.
