So you eat pie's in "The Great White North" [Canada] eh? I like Canada's modern outlook as opposed to the puritanical outlook of the U.S. Do you have alot of evangelist's up there ? If you don't, please take some of our's.

I worked with a Canadian and he said 'aboot'. They do on Southpark also, so it must be true eh?
I loved "strange brew".............ya hoser

Actually, when I lived in Vancouver for a while, the real "hosers" would punctuate their sentences with a "right?"
as in "We were out drivin' near Salmon Arm right? and ...."
Listen pie, don't sweat the jabs from the south. I'm sure most only mean it in good fun and those that don't are too dumb to think of anything more substantial.

Actually I know a Canadian (who I met on cyclingforums, as a matter of fact) who does indeed pronounce about "aboot"; she does also say "eh" at the end of a lot of her sentences. So the stereotype has some truth behind it. But I wouldn't be offended by it, in fact I think most people find it quite charming! Besides, the Americans might poke fun at you for the way you talk, but at the moment Americans are being stereotyped by the rest of the world as gun-toting, Bush-loving, war-mongering maniacs who want to rule the universe. So they're probably worse off ๐
Most of the world would have a hard time figuing out the difference between a yank and a Canadian, i know i sure as hell cant tell them apart.
Maybe its beards....its the beards isnt it..? One has a beard and one doesnt.

I assume it is the same mentality that makes people believe that individuals from my area drink moonshine for breakfast, are toothless stupid hillbillies that marry their sister.
Besides I have no sister and can anyone tell me where the best palce is to buy some Lycra Overalls.
Try not to take yourself too seriously. It helps.

Like I said I don't have a sister and I would never drink Moonshine........ ,before noon.
I need to go pull them damn sissy Frenchie Look Bike stickers off my ride and replace them with some cool NASCAR stickers.
I got to get by the Co-Op and get some food for my Hefer and my cow needs some too.
I also got to make some cornbread to stick in my seat pouch for my ride later.
Ciao Ya'll

So.... if you don't have a sister in that part of the world who do you marry, cousin, friends sister,.... Being Scottish it's real easy, sheep all look the same anyway.

I've got some of those Look stickers as well, makes me more liked (well less hated anyway) when I'm in Quebec.

It doesn't matter here ,about my bike that is, not many even know what a KG 261 is.
I myself am Scot-Irish and Cherokee. So I suppose that I love to drink "Fire Water, can't handle it and would be an alcoholic if I wern't so damn cheap.
As far a companionship!

Well I hate to speak for the gentleman you are addressing but I believe he is in Canada(therefore Canadian) and was being sarcastic about the Igloos and so forth. You know, just some real funny humor directed mostly toward himself.
At least thats the way I took it. But I have been wrong before... once I think ...no wait I am mistaken.

No, but I can imagine it doesn't mean "gorgeous nympho who's father owns a brewery"

Lighten up a bit, I live in Canada and know that all people don't talk like that, or live in igloos.

Some people just don't recognize good sarcasm when they see it, or they've stopped taking their meds this week ๐
Mods, can we please censor the people with no sense of humour on this forum, it's a downer ๐

Then you would be correct!
