I grumbled about it at my meeting!!! It has been interesting
this last 3 weeks. Up 2.6, down 2.4, up 3.0. Bigger swings
that I'm use to. Why? The weeks have not varied that much
except the weekends before the UP's I've buried myself in
ACTIVITY POINTS. Too much or too much food on top of too
much exercise? Spring going to my head and I'm relaxing the
watch too much.
Now I sweat it. Could you pass a Mint choc chip meringue,
please ( I Have not had those yet!!!)

I would highly recommend not starting on the mint choc chip
ones. They are very addictive. I have been hanging right
around 159 on my weighins for a Really Long Time. I don't
think I would like a 3ish gain. If you are feeling sore from
your exercise it may be water.
Sore muscles fill up on that interstitial stuff...

Yup - stiff and actually, my fingers felt swollen, too
(using the ice axe and then the pruning shears and loppers).
I will see how the rest of the week go.
Almost everything sweet is highly addictive.

I keep making these resolutions or something that I am going
to stop eating sugar, just to find myself having some every
afternoon. I lately decided that I would just check the
morning weight and if it is under 160 I am going to just eat
sensibly Whatever, when I feel hungry and Forget About it.
It seems to be working this past week.

The overall trend - I guess - hover. As it should be.
Okay, I'm one of those Maintainers who weigh in daily
to see what is happening. Ever since Sunday, I have
been a consistent 162 first thing in the morning.
Showing UP. It stayed that way for 4 days. And so
official WI showed the up.
But now, what is weird, is today, a day after that WI I'm
back down to
159. A sudden and dramatic drop again. And what is
interesting is that I do not recall at all any
dramatic or time consuming stops at the rest room. (g)
So I guess it is Activity results and muscular water
retention???? So now I wait to see how this week goes.
Now for breakfast.....

I don't really notice the water table "leaving" now either,
but when I am sore, I am always a pound or two heavier. I
did a pretty lively weigh lifting session on Tuesday, and
was up to 159.5 on Wed morning with sore muscles. Did not
notice much going on yesterday, but 158.5 this morning, and
no longer sore.

I've noticed this too. If I get sore from a workout I'm
usually a pound or two heavier. Would muscle retain water if
it's damaged? Either that or glucogen (which has lots of
associated water)?
Anyway good luck getting it off by next WI fred.

I may just have to get use to it. And watch it - so that if
I think I'm over, I will skip a WI since I only have to do
it once a month (which the receptionist reminded me
yesterday) - next WI not till just before May 31 officially
(G) My leader suggested I come in shorts next week! (G)

I guess it probably is water and potentially other waste
products (broc and cauli (g)).
So, what's with the new monika? AKA who.nose.where???

I have gotten into a new habit of going One time per month,
(very new, I went once in Feb, once in Mar, and once in
April) despite resolving to go More. It seems to be fine. I
don't really go up during the month, I just don't take the
time to make it to the meeting. I can see how people get to
a point of complacency where they don't think they need to
go at all. I am not there yet. Of course this newsgroup
tends to keep one focused.

I do have to admit that at many meetings my mind strays -
been there done that, kind of thoughts. They do get
repeitious. Have I substituted one habit for another - well,
I guess attending meetings is better than eating too much.
But sometimes a gem or two are delivered. A hint of just a
WOW, yes, that describes ME. I do think about cutting back
and then figure that I would probably just wind up stopping
- I could find something better to do with that hour and a
half.... So I keep going to keep going (G)

Hi, Lesanne, I noticed that myself. I was up a pound at my
last weight in and I think it was because I started a new
exercise routine and my abs were sore. I felt thinner but
weighed heavier. Still, I know I was on program and did the
best I could.

Hi, Fred, I have changed meetings so I don't have to deal
with repetition. I was going to meetings on Wednesdays and
switched to Friday morning. I also still find a gem or two,
not only from the leader but from the members. I find the
excitement of new members gives me a charge. I went two
years without meetings and gained 12 pounds. I doubt very
much I would ever go without meetings.
