Hi there,
I am wondering whats going to happen when I go from a winter training
routine in Europe (usually about zero centigrade when I train) to a race in
summer in the Southern Hemisphere (NZ). I have three days to adjust to the
expected 15-30 degrees heat at the tail end of summer. Am I likely to
improve my times, or is it going to be much harder? Does anyone know where
I can read more on this online? Every search come up with tips on clothes
to wear in winter but not really what I want!
The race is some 26km consisting of mountain work (5km) and river flats
(21km). I have been training between 5km and 20km on the flat here for the
last three months, usually go out about 2-5 times a week depending on
weather and free time.
Kind regards and thanks in advance,
Hamish
