I use the road version of these and they are fantastic for keeping toes
warm on cold days.

On a separate note, I foolishly spent the best part of fifty quid on
some Assos winter gloves which I have worn twice and on both occasions
had freezing fingers. This morning I went back to my cheap and
cheerful lobster claws and they were, as usual, positively toasty.

too blinking small - as per usual - they wouldn't suit me anyway due to my
unclipped pedal-stomping style. The MO38s would be perfect only their
biggest size (48) is too small - grr !

I have just managed to find some Reebok retro trainers which should be
adequate - I've put in the stiffeners from my knackered old Shimano MP60s (I
wish I'd bought several pairs of those while I had the chance ...)

I can vouch for both the Shimano boots and the Lobster Claws. Unfortunately
my LC's fell apart last winter so I bought some Seal Skinz Winter Gloves
which while warm are too bulky for off-road use, recommendations anyone for
the warmest, reasonably compact glove?
(Thinks of tomorrow in the Peaks at about -2 to 0C)
