If you want a jersey for winter use, I can highly recommend the new jerseys
in fabric WindStopper Fleece. Not 100% waterproof but close enough that I
tend not to bother with a jacket.

Too hot outside late autumn -> early spring though.

The one I use is from Endrua and costs about 60 squid

I was given a Foska winter training top for my birthday a while ago. It has
been well tested in the cold & wind over the past few weeks and last
Wednesday night, on our pre beer 20 miles over Wimbledon common and along
the Thames towpath, was tested to potential destruction in the rain.

Driving rain, bottom half utterly sodden, water sloshing in shoes. top half
completely dry and comfortable. not a drop of rain got through and not an
ounce of sweat despite rely pushing the pace to get in out of the wet.

Foska don't sell it as a waterproof as they do not tape the seams, but the
fabric is waterproof & breathable & fleecy to boot

£80 but I would buy one without hesitation if I did not already have one

I am chuffed to read this, as I have one of their "Bones" ones due to
arrive Any Day Now..

I've just got myself a Paramo Fuera smock. So far used it for both commmuting on the bike (8 miles each way) and running (bloody marathon training). As a windproof/waterproof shell it's beaten my GoreTex one hands down. In a recent down pour, it only got some condensation on my back, where my rucksack was, during oher times the breathabolity has been superb

Highly recommened, but you'll need a top underneat it as it's only a shell.
