  1. Lance has ruled the peloton with an iron fist, and they feared him. Now
that Lance has stepped down from the throne, will they fear Ivan? Will the
Ivan years, be as calm and as predictable, as the Lance years? Or will they
be years of anarchy, and chaos?

  2. Basso's a chump. No TDF racer will ever fear a uropeon again.

If Ullrich will come to the tour in good form, he'll be the one
feared. Amazing the difference between Ullrich's first and last
    ITT.

And he looked amazingly fit on the podium today.

Do you think that Armstrong ruled the peloton back in 99 or 00? It
took him 4-5 years to do that.

  6. I would be more afraid of Valverde than Basso.

Especially after yesterday's ITT, I see Basso as a "caretaker" champion,
possible in 2006 and 2007, but afterwards giving way to the group of
    Valverde, Popovych, Karpets, et al.

What about Cunego? I think Basso & Cunago will constantly be at each
other's heels next year this time. Ullrich has a lot more experience,
    though.

  9. Only if Basso hooks up the Peleton with his too hot sister ...

I wonder why you gays always talk about women as if you knew something about
    them?

  11. I don't think they will fear him at all next year. I think Jan and Basso
will be the front runners, but if Vino can get on a good team, he is pretty
tallented and could do something. He did pretty darn good with no help this
    year.

Jan will need to be in top form next year to have a good chance. I think it
will be a very close race next year providing that. Basso will be in top
form and will have to improve on his ITT's.

It's pretty clear that Vino fears nothing. Not the other teams, not his
own team, not leading out sprints for 2-3km (yesterday's hot-spot
sprint), not *seemingly* hopeless attacks (yesterday's finishing sprint,
    imho).
