I think they always have done.

I've been using Wiggle for at least three years, and I have never had
to pay postage. Free delivery is not the default option. It may be,
however, that I have always exceeded a minimum order value to qualify
for free delivery.

Looks like it is a recent offer then. Their home page boasts "Free
delivery now available on all Wiggle orders.

The word "now" suggests it has changed recently.

Sorry, I take that back. They do indeed claim:

"Wiggle Free Delivery Option gives you FREE UK delivery on all orders.
Your order may take an additional 2-5 working days to arrive."

It's the priority delivery which is free for orders over 50 quid.

Nugger! Wrong again. It seems they have different statements on different
pages, in addition to what was said above, they also say:

"wiggle has a Priority Delivery charge of £3.99 for each order
this is regardless of order value or weight"

and

"you can choose our Free Delivery Option if your order is over £50"

No, Wiggle have always had a postage charge, about 4, maybe 5 quid if
I remember. They offered free delivery option once you were past a
minimum spend, I forget what that was though.

Looks like they've now extended the free delivery choice down to all
orders whatever the value. Other posters are right that a number of
their current pages still give mixed info on this, but I think it's
just a case of the whole site not having caught up with a (fairly
recent?) postage charge change.

You can put something worth only £2 in your basket and start to
checkout and it shows free delivery option available.

Lovely jubbly, Wiggle just got even better.

I love internet shopping... Tesco's have this morning kindly brought
round a great pile of shopping and the TNT courier man not ten minutes
ago dropped me off a shiny new bike from Dales Cycles.

Hmm. And I just yesterday ordered something from SJS which was slightly
cheaper than wiggle but would have been cheaper still including both
postages. Looks like I should have checked wiggle before assuming!

Tesco does include our house despite using our road to get between other
places they do do. Despite several emails to them they could only give a
stock answer that they hoiped to extend their service in the future :-(

Wiggle have had the free postage option for a while now (I think it's been
a few months). It is available on *all* orders -- you have to click
something.

Items ordered with free post often arrive the next day (or day after they
get the item if out of stock) so don't bother with the Priority option
unless desperate.

Unlucky. I switched to Tesco online because for months and months now
there have been loads of discount voucher codes floating around for 5
and 10 quid off your shopping bill with 'em. Always more than offsets
the delivery charge.

No more difficulty now with bike desperately overloaded with beer.

They have done for a bit. But their fast delivery service (3 quid
extra??) is the default option - if you want the free service (a
little bit slower but still quicker than a lot of mail order houses)
you have to click on a special section of the checkout pages when
ordering, from memory.

Wiggle's stock is probably no more than 7 days, thus the items are
far easier for them to pick. Our small order charge (which is really
what it is) covers the true cost of the operation, form order
placement, to picking, posting and archiving."

archiving???

More that wiggle make a loss when you buy a 50p widget. Wiggle may also

Exactly. Seemed to be an "excuse" of SJS to say they have such costs and Wiggle
don't.

I think the free delivery is a fairly new thing. In theory, it's a
"second class post" option, but things I've ordered seem to come just as
quickly as when I pay for delivery.
