Will you PLEASE stop top posting? Pretty please?

  4. It seems you've found me a new nickname, Mitch. While I do appreciate
your manners in saying "please", I don't think I'll be changing my
posting habits anytime soon. I've got enough other stuff to worry about
than your (or anyones) linear comprehension abilities. Tom

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
    A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail and usenet aside from mikey
    that is?

  6. I don't understand this problem with top posting, all my emails chains
start bottom up. I don't want to scroll though pages of [censored] to find
the lastest response at the bottom. I much prefer to see the latest
post/email/comment/xml entry at the top. Where it should be.

Because you don't read a book back-to-front, because most top-posters
are also full-quoters (also rude, look it up), and because it messes up
a conversation when everybody adheres to a different convention.

The convention where everything is in sequential order, with the excess
stuff trimmed out, is the logical one.

The one where you're having a conversation with ONE e-mail pal may make
sense for top-posting, but that's between you and your pal.

    You're in public now.

Anyway, the point I am getting to is that no other religion should be
taking away from the Christian holiday at this time of year. It is
    quite wrong.

    Are you for real?

Christmas is probably the most inauthentic "Christian" holiday one can
    imagine. The date was set
to compete with Saturnalia and pagan solstice festivals. The
"Christmas" tree is a pagan symbol.

This will be my first and last post on the idiotic new American custom
of whinging about the "war on Christmas" every year, as if Christians
were somehow being oppressed in this country. Have a happy holiday.

    I better bottom post this.

So what were you saying about MTBR? What are the complaints? People going
off topic? Hell posting spots and Xmas are what you posted this for right?
BTW, where do you stand on your topic JD? Up or down have the right away?

I think the idea was to draw attention to the idiots who can't see a
staged video when it hits them in the face and need to immediately go
into "argue" mode. It's like fish in a fish tank. Did you ever notice
that when you hold your fingers above the tank like you are about to
drop food, they're ready to attack?

Props to Bill! He needs to post the link to the full vid here. At the
very least it might make Liberace's mouth drop watch JD cleaning the
    switchbacks.

I meant the reason for the celebration, not necessarily the decor.

Who you calling a pagan sunshine,in Germany trees and the carols and
most other holiday traditions that you all love started as rites for
celebrating the new year ,and then came along a bunch of Christian gits
telling us this was the celebration of some stupid savior who got
himself offed because he [censored] the ruling class , hell of a thing
to base a belief system on I would rather be a Bright.

Some old guy with a white beard who flies around in the sky and does
favors for people who believe in him? Right. Next thing you know,
you'll be worshipping the guy who put in your new roof.
