Why does Zwift’s app hog all resources, is it because the developers are completely incompetent or is it a deliberate attempt to make users upgrade their hardware. Every time I use the app, my computer slows down to a crawl and Im lucky if I dont get a crash. Ive tried closing every other program, updating my drivers, and even reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to work. Its like the developers have no concept of resource management or optimization. Ive seen better-written code from a high school student.
Can anyone explain why Zwifts app is so bloated and resource-intensive. Is it because theyre trying to pack in too many features or is it just a case of lazy programming. Ive used other training apps that run smoothly on my computer, so I know its not a hardware issue. Its just Zwifts app that seems to be the problem.
And dont even get me started on the mobile app, its like they took all the worst parts of the desktop app and put them in a smaller package. Ive tried using it on my phone and tablet, and its just as slow and buggy as the desktop app. Im starting to think that Zwifts developers are just not capable of writing efficient code.
Can anyone provide some insight into why Zwifts app is so resource-intensive and what the developers are doing to fix it. Or are they just going to keep churning out updates that add more features but dont address the underlying issues.
