Heh! But no, because when riding one's bike it is Dark and Wet, thus
spoiling the pleasure a bit. This based on today's ride home :-)

Your postings are normally a load of [censored] - similar to this one.

I have endeavoured to assist many members of this ng with practical
problems and assistance. I will now unsubscribe - I have better
things to do with my time.

Take care - don't be good.

    Sandy,

I'm very sad to see you go. Your postings have been helpful and I
appreciate the effort you've put in to them.

The Shed (aka uk.rec.sheds) is a bunch of somewhat quirky individuals,
-myself included - quite a few of whom also post here. Sometimes we take
our Sheddi quirks back here. I'm sorry if this has annoyed you.

Many of Guy's postings are well-balanced but he's been working *really*
hard to stop helmet compulsion, which can wear anyone's patience and
    humour thin.

I started cycling seriously on the Bicycle Island on a biology field
trip in 1975, which I'll never forget.

    We'll miss you, Sandy!

    I'm confused.

Guy is a consistently constructive poster. Sandy has always been a
reasoned and reasonable poster. Guy posts an innocuous post in an
innocuous thread and Sandy posts this in response and buggers off.

    Have I missed something somewhere?

This sort of thing doesn't happen in urc. Well, not often.

I imagine he's just frustrated at the huge amount of traffic on this group
over the past few weeks. Leave it for a week and there'll be 2000 posts to

Posting a load of [censored] would be my guess from Sandy's statement :-)

Hoo, boy, do I know how he [hypothetically] feels. I've been mostly
doing other things over the last couple of months, and the volume of this
ng just snows you under if you get the least bit behind. The
<killthread> shortcut has been well used recently.

I *was* wondering if I should wear a h*lm*t while riding my Al-framed
Goldwing 5 miles to the station - can anyone advise? [N.B. Memo to self:

I think Guy is trying to establish which particular load of [censored] it was
    that tipped the balance! ;-)
