Like on those fitness commercials...they'll say something like "Turn that fat into muscle".
but is this really possible? Can i turn the fat thats in my stomach now into muscle for my arms? fat doesnt have protein, does it?
just something i thought about today while doing situps.. I usually weight lift...do situps..then lift some more...
I never understood the whole "turn fat into muscle" [censored]. To build muscle you need protein and other stuff in your diet.
If you lose fat and gain muscle (and weight stays approximately the same), then in the grand (non-pedantic) scheme of things you have in essence changed your fat into muscle. Easy to do when you first get off you cheese doodle butt. It really would be turning fat into muscle if ATP created by fat oxidation was then used to fuel the production of new muscle. Okay, while this it is not technically correct (and believe me I am as much a technical guy as anyone), I think most people understand what is meant when someone says that. They can be corrected once they realize that you are only trying to set them correct rather than hammer them for something akin to a spelling lame. Now if you could figure out why every new poster on the freaking planet thinks lose is spelled loose, you could win the Nobel Prize in something!

It is all to do with the generally poor levels of education, particularly in English language. This can perhaps be attributable to varying versions of English, particularly American and Australian English, which dilute the original and cause confusion, particularly in the use of computers worldwide which use American English as the default.
Of course it may also be due to the popularity of the shorthand gobbledygook that is used on mobile telephones.

No, but you can turn those small letters at the beginning of your sentences into Capitals with just 2 months of "English as a second language" training.
Guess you don't really need that skill to push a button at McyD's though, do you now?
