I get the feeling he was tired of the serious political
debaters on the political newsgroups and decided to set up
house here where he thought he left-leaning political
assertions would be more readily accepted and the resident
political debating skills would be less finely honed.

Politics is not the business of RBM, except insofar as it
helps our cause as cyclists. Some of us have very strong
opinions regarding political issues of the day which we
choose to air in other fora.

If you and K would not provoke each other, and would agree
to disagree--as we're supposed to be able to do in a liberal
society--then RBM will go on just fine, thanks.

K has made some useful contributions regarding cycling in
the past, so don't knock him on that front.

You haven't seen a photograph of *me* on the bike yet, have
you? What's your threshold for credibility? If you wanted
to see faces and bicycles, hang out at the bike club. This
is usenet.

Because when you get him *off of politics*, he seems like a
pretty decent guy. He's also reasonably articulate when

It's my main squeeze. It's an awesome ride on those fat
tires -- smooth, agile and responsive. I love riding it in
the city, floating intersections, hopping curbs, track
standing to show off even though it's only for people who
have no clue how cool what I'm doing is. My mechanic
really outdid himself. His name is Kevin Rivet, and, if
you are in Shreveport/Bossier and need some bike help, he
is the man to see.

There is one problem. It has a Surly Fixer, which fits onto
a normal hub to make it a fixed gear. Well, it comes loose
over time when you brake with your feet, so you have to
tighten it periodically. If you don't, then you have to
rebuild the hub. No biggie, really, if you stay on top of
maintenance.

message; and often enough provides his own brand of humor.
It becomes necessary, if you don't want to blacklist him, to

Just be quick on the "delete" key, and you can reduce him to
nearly reasonable... <G>

I need to get me a little digicam of reasonable quality. Our
old one here at home has a really nasty stuck pixel, and
it's not terribly good to begin with...and I have decided
that colour negative film is just too expensive to be
getting on with.
