  1. Excuse my f-ing rant about women for a second. My girl friend just ended our relationship on a year and a half. Not very long by a lot of standards; but long enough for her to know stuff about me that no one else does. Stuff that had made us very close (we're both really mature for our age).

The worst part is that it centered around cycling. I like to win and therefore I train a lot and I am very dedicated, as is she; but towards music (and to an increasing degree sports including cycling).

To find someone you trust with everything with another man has got to be the worst feeling. I rode aimlessly around town in the dark quiet streets searching for something; but I'm not sure what.

To have a clean break in a relationship is one thing. But to betrayed? Why dammit?

Thanks, I needed to write something.

🙁 Ah, you've been deeply hurt, been there. Riding or walking around town on dark quiet streets is perfectly ok, do as much of it as you need to. It's a lot better than hitting the bottle, eventually you'll heal and someone else will come along that you'll like even more. I promise.

  3. luckily, life--amazingly--is better than this. have patience, open your eyes and your ears and take a look around (if for no other reason than to distract yourself from the present anguish). one day you'll look back on this and chuckle at the change in you. it's really for the better.

    take care.

  4. xcgeek....been there-if she is incapable of being faithful she clearly does not deserve what you have to offer.
I can tell you from my own experience-you will heal-ride, walk, write-don't drink or sleep around, your future lady may be watching.
the right one is worth the wait. for her to be unfaithful is a fault in her character-NOT yours.
you're in my thoughts, young man. I send you my best.

  5. hey i'll put it simply..........f*** the B****. If that was my other half i'd beat her black and blue sorri to say! treat em mean and keep em keen! why not run her over with ur bike? will make u feel better!

  6. Yes it hurts , now get over it and think what is was you did , or didn´t do , that ticked her of enough to leave you . Was it being an overbaring MCP for example , what ever it´s like riding a bike :- you fall off , you get back on .
Nobody cares , and nobody wants to hear as we ALL have our tails of betrayal and loss ( pause to cry ) it didn´t work out --better now than when your married and have kids , morgage etc .
Go out , get ripped with your mates and try your luck .

  7. Maybe Rossore-uk is a little over the top, but a little malice at the end of a relationship goes a long way to help the healing. I'm not talking about off-ing anyone, or harassment, or anything like that -- just a little of that hating feeling to distance yourself from the ex.

You'll get over the bi-otch sooner or later, and be better for the experience in the end. The short version is this: you weren't compatible, so it wasn't meant to be, and you will be better off finding someone that is compatible (i.e., your soulmate, if you believe in that new-agey stuff).

But el Ingles has the best idea of all -- a little binge drinking w/ your buds is a good cure. If you can't think of reasons to be glad it's over, I'm sure they can come up with some for you.
