As much as I have great respect for those of you that are pro racers, even
in Div III living the 12K dream, I can't help but wonder if the recent
onslaught of drug related news and positive tests (seems like everyday there
is a new shocking one) has jaded you to the point of feeling like everyone
that finishes ahead of you is juicing. Please don't get me wrong, I am just
wondering where your head is at on the subject. Does it affect you in
training? Do you not give 110% during the race because you feel as though
you may be in a "2 speed peloton"?

compose, write and edit into something credible and coherent, then I will
consider them accordingly. He doesn't seem to think his opinions are worth the

they're worth my time it would take to do the job for him. And that's really

You know, it appears to me that his attempt to establish a drug free
professional team and his tactic to publicize the problem of drug
use in cycling through outrageousness are conflicting. If I were a
potential sponsor considering funding a team, after reading the web
site I would have serious reservations about handing over a lot of
money to him. Regardless of how I felt about doping in the sport.

Some people really care about their writing style, and then again some don't.
Not everyone can put together clear and concise thoughts into correct prose.

Matt has his own style and it suits him just fine. He is a bit militant for my
tastes, but we need someone to stand up to the pieces of [censored] that are taking
results and money out of my hands and everyone else hands as well. Not only
that, but I don't want the general racing public to associate me with the guys
that are cheating.

As a businessman I'd have to consider him a loose cannon. What's he going to
start writing if the team isn't getting paid what he thinks it should, what if
we don't hire the riders or crew he wants?

I don't think he's got a hint of a clue what a sponsor would want out of the
deal - he seems to think the whole point would be to give HIM a bigger soap box.

The hard part for me is how so many people could have screwed up
something that is really not that hard. If all these people got
popped (allegedly) in competition testing and everyone knows the
detection window then the only explanations are that there was a
massive outbreak of stupid or the test has been refined and the

its more likely that if this mass bust occured it occured becasue the guys just
didnt think that tehy wold be tested, and didnt think that the test would be a
test for epo or hgh or whetever it is that tehy were taking...

that. to me seems a very likely scenario... there just isnt much testing going
on... 125k up for grabs in charlotte- no testing... if they dont test at an
event like that then where do they?... theshold tests. redlands tested, nature
valley tested... thats it for races that i have been to this year... i am sure
that downers grove will test...
