I got some Clark Clim8 ones, supposed to be teflon coated, smooth, long
lasting, sealed - they were utter [censored]. I've had cables, bog-standard ones,
cheap that lasted as long. I called Clarks and they offered no help. In fact
I couldn't ever get through.

Set the cables up and all but haven't rode the bike
since replacement of the cables. All I know they could last like a
motorcycle cable I had once the ball pullled right off. Forced to put
the cable between my teeth to operate it by pulling my back all the way
to the shop for a replacement cable.

I've had Clark cables, from the front a magazine, on my full sus for 4
years with no issues. Never cleaned them, never touched them, done
river crossings with them a few times and never had to re-lube them.
