How was the Invicta hilly?

I'll see you at Denmead. I missed the last 300 (bad
stomach). Dave does an excellent route sheet.

I'll be doing one of these - I want to do the 200 but it's
the L2B the next day and a) I've got to get up to London on
Saturday evening, and b) I'm intending to cycle home again
after the L2B (130 miles total). It's largely a question of
whether I think I'm up to 200s on successive days. The
answer at the moment is no.
Aside from whether I'm able to do it, the time vs
responsibility factor is the big thing preventing me from
upping my distances at the moment. 🙁

Wonderful. Harder than I expected, but I got around the
course in a respectable time. I posted a more detailed
report in another thread: tinyurl.comywbywOpen ↗

well done ;-) 2 200's in two days is going some, a 400 would
be a better idea.

Funny you should say that - I had been thinking that consecutive 200s would be good preparation for a first 400, but then I read something about someone doing the PBP and saying that the worst thing you can do is stop - because your body then goes into recovery mode. I hadn't really thought about it like that before but I can see the sense in it.

Does that mean you're up for the Denmead one? ;-)

I doubt it - it's hard enough to persuade my wife to let me
have the 'time off' to do a 100 at the moment (for reasons
that are all eminently fair, I should add in her defence) so
a 400 is out of the question. :-(

Tell me about it! since I entered the 400 about 4 very
important events have come up on the same day. There is the
4th July Battle and Back 200 though.
