  1. Hi all,

I just saw a commercial on Whippet cookies, it is a
marshmallow center with a cookie base and covered in
chocolate. I was just wondering how many points they are.
    :-)

    Take care, SPOONS

  2. I'm gonna just assume that since this contains a few of the
*nasties* in it's description (chocolate ... cookie) that
it's going to be more points than it's worth for one item.
<G> From what I've found, they are made by viau mccormick
and may be a canadian market item, come in several flavors
... black forest, strawberry and raspberry. I haven't been
able to find any nutritional info for this particular brand,
but based on US versions that appear to be similar
(different brands) they are running about 140 calories and
6g fat ... or 3.5 points per each cookie.

  3. Hi Joyce,

Thanks a bunch for the info. I figured they'd be high in
points, but I was curious. Luckily I only saw the commercial
and didn't actually buy them. hahaha When I go grocery
shopping I get what's on my list but if I want to try
something new I pull out my trusty point slider and if it's
not worth the points I don't buy it.

All I could find was a French language site:

  6. I'm always checking out different things in the grocery
store. I don't use the point slider, have become very good
at figuring a rough estimate in my head. The other day I
found dinner rolls that work out to half a point each - was
absolutely amazed! I now CAN have a roll on occassion
    without feeling incredibly guilty.

  8. These come in a clear bread type bag, package of 12 dinner
rolls. They are made by Natural Ovens Bakery, called Gourmet
Dinner Rolls (how clever!). 1 roll is 70 calories, 1g fat,
4g fiber = .68 US points ... of course 2 rolls work out to
about 2 points. The very first ingredient in the list is
stone ground whole wheat flour, which I usually look for as
I love whole wheat. I have found them in Jewel and
Dominick's - so figure they are carried by most grocers.
