  1. Has anyone used Frog cleats successfully on cycling sandals? The only sandals I'm aware of that take
cleats are the Shimanos and the Lakes. Are there others?

I have seen others advertised, but they are knock-offs of these. I use Frogs and Shimano sandlas. No
problem, really. Yes, sometimes the sole gets in the way while disengaging, but it is not serious.

I use Shimano sandals with frogs also. Same results. B

How is the walkability with the Frog cleats? I find that SPD cleats grind a little with my
    Shimano sandals.

About the same with my (old-style) Frog cleats. Have not yet damaged the mushroom, though. Sometimes
it's a bit noisy walking on concrete (especially if there is grit on the concrete).

  6. The "new" Frog cleats (the ones that fit on Sidi shoes without removal of part of the shoe) work
    just fine with Shimano sandals.

After following this thread until now, I just remembered:

The cleats should work exactly the same on the Lakes as on the Shimanos. The Lakes are built on the
    Shimano outsole.

Has anybody had any trouble with sizing on either of these sandals?

I bought _both_ in September from Nashbar, and found that I need a size smaller in the Lakes and
possibly two sizes smaller in the Shimanos. They don't have the Lakes anymore, so I may just
tolerate them; and I really ought to get around to sending those Shimanos back before they don't
have them anymore (or refuse to exchange).

    Dear Rick,

Perhaps they'll be more willing to exchange them if you call them "freedom" cleats. "Frog" smacks of
    tasteless jingoism and xenophobia.
