Colonics to clean out your stuffed up @$$
Of all the toxic goodies you do not pass
Globs of gunk and the mucus you store
Parasites, flukes and worms galore
So take a colonic so you can pass
All these nasties from your paracitized @$$.....

Calorie content isn't the only thing weight watchers should check on
the wrapper. Some breads have more fiber (usually a good thing) than
others -- some taste better (important when counting calories to get
some decent flavor into your day so you don't go searching for
something just to tempt your taste buds) -- & dieters need to check
out the portion size they actually get (since some breads look low-cal
just because they're sliced paper thin).
Not being a regular bread eater myself (never liked it very much), I
still try to get my family to eat breads with some fiber & nutritional
"oomph". Unfortunately they actually like the taste of mass produced
white bread & since they're not little kids & have their own money to
buy what they want, I simply make a face when I see them chowing down
on a Wonder bread sandwich & they acknowledge this with "I know, I
know -- but it tastes sooo good!". At least they put healthy stuff
into the sandwich.....

Check instead, the carbohydrate content an choose the lowest.
Better yet avoid bread entirely.

I'd go for a higher protein diet if I wanted to lose weight - eating carbs
isn't going to thin you down, as proteins modulate appetite. (This has been
demonstrated in recent Atkins studies)

I can't agree.
The majority of researchers and volunteers do not know what constitutes true
hunger.
Most think that an irritated, painful stomach represents the desire for food.
It does not.
That pain in your stomach when it is empty is disease talking to you.
True hunger is determined by that part of the brain stem called the appestat.
It knows what the body needs be it protein, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins,
minerals, antioxidants, etc.
The stomach processes the food stuff but it does not know what the body needs.
The stomach only knows what is coming.
The healthy stomach does not talk to its owner by sending out pain signals or
bleeding. If your stomach is healthy you will no more feel it than you do your
small intestines and it will not hang over your belt.
This is why I cannot agree with the studies. I know, as you, that if you throw
more food into the stomach, the pain subsides for a time. However, this is not
the signal of true hunger, only true stomach disease.
The studies are, therefore, flawed due to this bias and error.
