Where to buy bottom bracket shell?

I suppose I *could* do that but what I'd save in cash I'd more than
spend in time. Creative solution though ;-)

What with ordering delays and such, it'd be a bunch quicker, though.
Unless you're waiting on them and can't do anything else, of course,
that's not the metric to use.

Still, though, have you tried your local framebuilder? Also, you'll want
to take the finished product back to a bike shop to have the faces cut and
threads reamed. If you get thrift store bikes, you might skip that step.
