How is it possible for someone to just leave a newsgroup without a word after having been on it like forever posting dozens of messages every day on every topic imaginable. No, something is very wrong here in the land of Usenet.
I am convinced there is someone on ARBR who knows exactly what has happened to Tom Sherman. It is OK to tell me. I will not bother him at all but I am imagining all sorts of horrible things that may have happened to him. I simply want to be reassured that he just left and is in good health in the real world, happily riding his Earth Cycles recumbents in northern Illinois.

You have said, and I quote ... Usenet is strictly for idiots, [censored] and jerks - positively no exceptions! Perhaps Tom Sherman refuses to be constrained by your shortsighted, errant classification. Maybe he would return if you would just leave. What incentive does Tom have to return knowing that he will again be labeled abused by you??? After all you have said, and I quote ... I can state with absolute assurance that I am the Greatest Idiot, the Greatest [censored] and the Greatest Jerk that Usenet has ever known. With this you fourth lament over loss of Tom Sherman, you have betrayed your unremitting fear ... that of an apathetic and dwindling audience. Countless times you have even condemned those that have kill-filed you. In effect, you have empowered the readership to be your worst nightmare. This is a telling indication that you are haunted by an unrelenting awareness that you are only a mouse-click away from oblivion.

Only Tom Sherman was worthy of one so Great as Myself. All the rest of you are pygmies, dwarfs and midgets by comparison. Mr. Sherman was an intellectual and knew how to argue about things. Yes, he was wrong headed about most things, but it was the argument itself that was the fascination. He is sorely missed here on ARBR as is proved every day be the dearth of interesting posts.
Mr. Sherman has left for reasons of his own that have nothing to do with me. I miss him because he was one of the very few who understood where I was coming from. Poor Jimbo is too wrapped up in himself to ever have any appreciation of anyone who is different from him.

What we have here is yet another example of the same old hakneyed cut and paste boilerplate from the man who does it best. Subsititue "Ed Dolan" for "Jimbo" in your final sentence and you will have said at least one thing with which I can agree ... your self-portrait. - Jim McNamara

No one could stalk you if you weren't here. Save you breath. You'll need it to blow up your date.
