Have had to spend a couple of days at home because of a very heavy cold and was flicking through some of the TV channels. An awful lot of re-run 1970/80's series are shown on day time TV - and you'd wonder what ever happened to the people who were stars in these series.
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century star, Gil Gerrard - where did he end up? The A-Teams FaceMan - Dirk Benedict - where's he's gone to? Or John Boy Walton aka Richard Thomas ? Or Princess Ardala aka Pamela Hensley of Buck Rogers?
Very few stars of these type of series seem to survive either on film or on stage after their series finishes.
There are some successes : Ron Howard (of Happy Days) went on to direct.

I don't know much about anyone on your list or even Gerrard for that matter. But they were talking about Buck Rogers in the 25th Century on the radio awhile back and someone said that Gil Gerrard had made an appearance on some sort of television talk show recently that that he was extremely overweight now.

I got a message from another post here who tells me that A-Team's Face aka Dirk Benedict appeared in 2007 UK TV show Celebrity Big Brother : and was looking well for a guy who's 61 y.o.

Lim, come over and we just ski rather than cycle or sit on the couch. I am going out for a couple runs after lunch but I am confined to a short duration of fun today. I have to judge a jumping contest later and then we have our annual cardboard sled race ,which I am responsible for, so bring on the snow. Cheers, I have to go get busy now.

Can we infer from the question that Lim was a fan of Buck Rogers?
I heard Gil Gerard had a huge ego and he was responsible for reduction of Erin Gray's part during the second season. But there is a series that needs reviving. If they can reboot Battlestar Galactica, why not Buck Rogers? With the reduction in TV standards, the costumes can be even tighter. 😄 Yeah, I am a sucker for any sci fi show, no matter how cheesy.
You have to wonder what happens to cast aside actors/actresses. I can imagine that most of them think the money will just keep coming and they are destined for a fat movie career. Their series gets cancelled and then they are dining on stray dogs. What really blows my mind though, are the ones that voluntarily leave successful shows. For every George Clooney there has to be a few dozen Nicole Eggerts.

I had always wondered, what happended to Mandy Patinkin ? The guy did such a great job as the character "Inigo Montoya" in "The Princess Bride" that I thought he would have plenty of work ahead of him. I hadn't heard about him in years until this past weekend. I learned (during a "Superbowl" commercial) that he plays the role of FBI agent Jason Gideon on the TV series "Criminal Minds". Good for him.
