I missed a Windcheetah Supersport there by two days once. It
had front'n'rear fairings, was nearly new, the right size,
priced for a quick sale, and I was the second person who
rang. :-( Still hurts!

They come up on ebay from time to time. I have a search
booked on 'recumbent' and get a hit about once a week,
however good ones very rarely come up - I strongly suspect
good recumbents are things people hang onto.

Well, you won't see a Grasshopper - to new and much too much
in demand. I can't recall any of the others you've named,
either. And if a good one comes up I expect a lot of people
will be bidding, so it won't be a bargain.

if I order a GH Im not telling you until it arrives, so I
dont have to hear every day how great it is to have one in
the garage instead of the postal system. 😉

I wouldn't be supprised if you ordered one in the next week
or so that you didn't get the same delivery date as me.

Excluding the recumbent exercise bikes takes that down to
one every two years, though ;-)

In the past year I have seen a Hurricane, Street-machine and
a few others for sale on Ebay. So if you wait for long
enough one will come up.

If you are able, your best bet may be to look abroad.

yes, my expectations on cost are realistic. 😉

Second hand recumbents also tend to hold their value better
than other bikes so you may not be losing out big-time by
buying new. An exception to this rule is if you are not sure
you want a recumbent - I bought a cheap one then upgraded it
when I was sure it would be worthwhile.

It can also be cheaper to buy a frameset + parts than a ready-
built recumbent.
