Hi, an 85 year old we know is as fit as a fiddle, still goes dancing and has
never been to a doctor ever. Since as far as he can remember he has
religiously taken each day a: a grapefruit, and an apple and a small handful
apricots. Since we have decided to do the same, what is the most
beneficial time to eat such fruit. would it be with a meal, seperate from
other meals or drinks, last thing at night? thanks for any advice.

Apple at lunch
Apricots at supper or as a mid-afternoon snackHow far back does "as far as he can remember" go?
BTW, Julia Child attributed her long life to red meat and gin.

|Well gin is made from fruit isn't it? Juniper berries, if I am remembering
right. I am counting on the "grape juice" I have at meal time to extend my
life. :-)Debbie

My wife's Grandmother lived to 106 - Until her last 5 years when she switched to
red wine, she had oatmeal (mush) every morning, and a vodka Gimlet before dinner
and finally every Saturday night she and her husband split 6 eggs and a pound of
bacon. One Christmas I was carving a large ham she came through the line and
asked for a piece of ham with a "big'ol slug of fat" on it.Dimitri

think this oldster worshipped his fruit.Quoted message said:

attentin this time around. And go dancing as often as you can, whether
you eat the fruit or not. -aem
