  1. As I was jabbing my corn on the cob with my little
metal cornholders, I remember I ordered new ones that
haven't arrived. Right there, in front of the soon-to-be old
ones, I mentioned I'd ordered their replacements!

    What was I thinking.

A couple of bites in, the left hand corn holder took
revenge. Escaped from the end of my cob and jabbed
    into my cheek.

Now I know how the corn feels.

You better copyright that name "When corn holders attack". What a perfect

    Ow.

You should see the "corn holder" I used for my cockatoo.
    It's a 2" x 1/4" Eye screw. ;-) It attaches to a ready link in her
    aviary.

We were at a restaurant last week and my daughter wanted a corn holder.
Thought she could jam her fork into the end of the cob. Wound up shooting
it at me. The corn. Not the fork.

Heh, do they still make those? I used to work for an insurance

So and so was ill on the set of, what? Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?

Very cute. Actually, I'm (supposedly) getting corn holder
that are more like nails than the sort of screwdriver type I
    have now.

Darn, I see they are not shipping until mid-September now.

I've never had a set of corn holders that actually speared
the pointy end of the cob. I see promise in these that
they are, essentially, nails that should go in. Right now,
my holder are a metal, sort of W shape. Only works on
    the flat end.

Of course, I could just cut off the pointy end. I don't
    want to.

I expect some were working titles and were retitled before release, or
will be retitled before release if they ever leave the vault since many
are produced and don't get released for quite some time.

No. That would be a C movie 🙂

Last night I watched part of a movie that was that bad on Netflix
online. It was called something like Cheerleader Ninjas.
Before that, we watched an interesting documentary called "Small Town
    Gay Bar."
You get 8 hours a month of online watching free with your basic one

Next, we're watching Walking With Dinosaurs: Allosaurus

Here is what we use here for the humans. Available from the Grossery
    store:

    http://www.fantes.com/images/13105corn.jpg

Funny, when I did a search to find these, I never realized there were SO
many kinds of corn holders! :-)

I rarely use them. I just let the ear cool off enough to handle with my
fingers. If it's too hot to hold, it's too hot to bite!

Dad likes to use them tho' as he still butters his corn sometimes. I've
gone to eating it plain now. I used to butter and salt it too.
I've learned to like it without even salt, especially the yellow/white
mixed color ears. That stuff is SO crisp and sweet!

The corn cob shaped ones with two "nails" from the grocery store work
okay on the pointy end. I've never seen wedge shaped corn spears around
    here.
I can see how that would be a problem.
