For a C40, I'd expect to see something more like Campy Eurus. They are the best Campy Al/clincher offering, and would be a great choice for the 'rolling hills'. No sense on putting cheap tires on an expensive sports car. FWIW, these wheels seem to be a great value, and can be had for <$600.

I concur with Ted. I assume the C40 is being built with no less than Record 10 carbon, so why would you skimp on the wheels, which along with the frame are the most important part of the bike.

I've been riding Zondas for a couple of months now. They worked out very well - reasonably aero, but without the bone jarring ride of my Rolfs.

Actually, no Record... but rather Chorus. No point in pouring in more $$$ than necessary. And I am buying his group as a b-day present, so the money really DOES matter. :-)

Don't know if you've bought the group already, but you might check www.cbike.com - when I outfitted my Trek YFoil last year, I got an excellent price on a Chorus group with Record triple crank upgrade from them.

Also got the Zondas from cbike, were on sale for $350 with skewers and bags, but I think that sale has since expired.

For lots of hills i'd go with the Neutrons or Protons

I've got the protons and they are lighter than the zondas and only 80g heavier than the eurus
