Hi, I need some ideas of dishes to serve with ham other than the traditional sweet potatoes and
macaronni. I am cooking for my brother's birthday which is also Christmas Eve and he wanted
something a little different but not too different. Thanks for your help! [email hidden]

ham, and wouldn't serve macaroni at all. I would also serve a nice green salad, a blush wine (or a
fruity red) and spiced cranberry sauce. If you're doing low-carb (which it doesn't sound like you are) I would use a scalloped cauliflower
instead of the potatoes, and would use green beans almondine instead of the peas.--

A great way to eat pineapple in the winter.
Serve as an appetizer or a dessert.•1 large pineapple •1/4 cup Golden Blossom Honey •juice of 2 limes •salt
•coarse ground black pepperPreheat oven to 500º F.
Brush both sides of pineapple slices with honey/ Place on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with salt
and pepper to taste. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, flip skices over. Sprinkle with
salt and pepper, return to oven for another 10 minutes. When pineapple is lightly browned on
both sides remove from oven and sprinkle with lime juice. Cut into wedges and serve warm. From the Golden Blossom Honey Beeline

Corn pudding goes well with ham. Brussel sprouts do too - for some people anyway! Our kids also love
rice with raisins - plain white rice with some raisins thrown in near the end of cooking.--

I just did dinner for 100 for our Christmas Party at work (Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center) We
served: BAked HAm, Scalloped Potatoes, Glazed Baby Carrots and Sweet Vinegar Coleslaw. Dessert
was Apple Cranberry Pie (I did not make the pies). I think I'll repeat the menu exactly next
year. We are open today and tomorrow but I'm just having a huge pot of Chili and Holiday Sweets.

having homemade rolls, spinach maria (spinach in a slightly spicy cheese sauce), a butternut squash
and apple casserole, cranberry sausage dressing, a couple of kinds of cranberry relish (one sweet,
one hot, and the stuff from the can for the kids), and tiramisu for dessert.Regards, Tracy R.

onion). Biscuits, of course. Corn of some description. -
I would suggest since you are just obviously thinking about this xmas eve and dinner IS xmas eve,
tonight, a few boxes of oven potatoes - scalloped or similar, some good rye bread and some of the
easier recommended sides might be easier for you to pull off..--
