1. Hello, i had a problem with the service from a internet tyre vendor and wonderd what to do, so i came herre for your opinions cause me and the company aint getting along as they dont see why im p*ss*ed.

Herres the story, i need tyres for my wheelchair and my motorized bike

So i tested the company in question by buying a michelin pilot for the front of my bike, all my motorcycles run Michelins btw...

Wanted flat protection and the look a smaller front tyre would give the bike, and dint think running a cheap chi.com tyrein the front was a safe idear.

    In addition my wheelchair

runs on 110psi Primos and i wear them out fast.

I just have a bum leg and dont need sympathy, i need tyres!

Ok, i orderd the tyre thankgiving evening, the next day the company sends me a e-mail saying they } shipped{ the tyre and dint hesitate to put the charge on my Visa.

    Butt...

The UPS number said they dint send the tyre, kept saying they dint until the following monday evening.

Thats why im [censored], they lied to me, then in the exchange of e-mails in which my first one was ignored, me and whoever the doofus is running the place dint get along.

My point is its going to take this company a week and a half to get me one tyre?

Thank doG it wasnt for my wheelchair.

over to you, do i expect to much by expecting good service when buying bike stuff on the net?

Are all vendors of bike swag this bad at customer service?

And in the end, is therre a internet vendor that provides good service and doesnt disrespect their customers because of a expectation of good service?

I need tyres in a timley manour and dont like being lied to and wont give money to people that do.

    btw, merry christmas

    😄

  2. if the tracking number worked on Monday then it was a matter of the UPS notification system. I commonly get emails saying my orders have shipped and the UPS tracking number doesn't work until the next day. If the vendor processed the order through UPS but then they weren't open on Friday for UPS to pick up, or didn't run the end-of-day process on their UPS system, the tracking number would not show as valid.

So their automated shopping card program likely charged your card and processed the UPS label but they may not have even been open on Friday to actually process the order. Friday after Thanksgiving is a holiday for many.

  3. Allot of that is true, except, they sent me notification they had "shipped" my tyre with UPS when they hadnt, when i emailed them about it they ignored the e-mail..

My second e-mail to them, a bit sarcastic now that i wasnt happy, did get a reply, what to me was a rude tone, considering i was a new customer and youd think treating customers well would be a a good idear in this day and age.

Thats my beef, i was lied to, maybe not on purpose as their email notification should have said my order was processed, not shipped like many other web vendors do.

However, i admin at a EU based motorcycle website, and am not impressed when admins at other sites fail in their tasks.

Still looking for a good internet tyre vendor, i go thru allot of bicycle tyres for the above, and have no qualms spending 3 times what others would spend on a tyre if the tyre is worth it.

Getting a blowout on that bike while doing 30 in the gutter wouldnt be pretty, and a flat at the casino in my wheelchair would cramp my style big time

Cant give hot keno girls rides when i have a flat

    😄

Im not mentioning the companies name because id like to give them the opportunity to tell their side, as i will be inviting them to participate in this thread if they care.

I also feel saying who they are upfront seemed petty on my first post on this forum, the bottom line is i need tyres at a good price and fast shipping with a company that deserves my business and wants it, so, alittle help please

    🙂

I suspect that's exactly what happened.

The order system automatically generates a shipping request to UPS and an email confirmation to the customer with the tracking number.

Then the order is picked up by UPS. An order placed early enough during the day could possibly be shipped that same day.

However, an order placed late in the day, after hours, or on holidays and weekends would be shipped on the next business day.

For most companies an order placed on Thankgiving day would not actually ship until the following Monday, which would be the next business day.

  5. My experience is that the week involving Thanksgiving is THE WORST time to order anything online. I ordered a pair of MTB shoes the day before, sale was posted immediately, never received an email about shipping. After 9 days, requested an update, was offered a shipping upgrade on their dime. The NEXT DAY, my transaction was put on hold, and never budged. I emailed them again and cancelled. I got an email back from them, saying, "OK, here's your money, but I don't know what we did wrong."

They have about a 20% chance of getting more business from me. If they have a SMOKIN' deal, OK.

    That's pretty bad!
