LOL - it looks like someone was either having a funny with the stock photos or is really clueless about cycling.
My only other theory is that they used the Lance photo in another article and the photo they were supposed to use has a number that is one off from that one and it was a typo (I looked the photo is identified with a number only). We use photos the same way where I work so I can see how it might happen.

Well that would be sad considering the advert down the right hand side contains a mere football referee who would apparently be a more familiar face than the top man ever in cycling!

What is it about football that gets it such a big following? I always have a little snigger when they call it the beautiful game. Just how beautiful are lager swilling pie eating loutish footballers and their fat fans?

Either that or they had used the photo before, then filed it as something like, "guy getting checked out by a doctor".

  10. If that is really him, I hope he eats something on the off season, geez!

I don't know. Didn't he recently make some comment about not gaining forty pounds in his retirement like Greg Lemond?

  12. Is he planning a catwalk, female fashion model carreer ?

Boy ... Lance is in need of bowl of chilli therapy!

They must have figured it out. When the story was first posted, the accomanying picture was Lance Armstrong at a pre-race medical check.
