    JIS or ISO? I'm guessing ISO, since they came off an Itailan threaded
    BB, and don't quite look right on a Shimano BB. I'm not being lazy:
    Sutherland's 7th says the square taper difference is 12.6 vs 12.65 but
    this is pretty hard to measure on a beat-up old spindle, even with
    calipers.

    Thanks for any info. Sheldon's crank database needs this info too.

    You are correct...when the standard was based in Europe, not Asia..
