  1. Okay, the fork and front brake are on backwards, does that increase the

Not got time to look, but that surely MUST be a 'mart bike?!?!?

Shaun aRe had to fix that problem on a kid's bike one time. That and the
rear brake blocks the were vertical and gripping only the tyre. And the
loose front wheel nuts...and pedals...and handle bars...i forget the rest
    but there was more too.

Hey I know this guy! He lives a few miles down the road. He's a "junk
gypsy". That's my term for garage sale nut. He most likely picked up
parts from area garage sales and put the thing together. Most of his
[censored] that he sells comes from other folks [censored].

I had a garage sale two years ago that was supposed to start at 8:00 am.
He was parked in front of my house at 6:30 AM. He wouldn't even give
me time to get the [censored] out of the garage before he was loading it up to
    buy.

Hmmm. Also listed as a Cannondale, and I'm pretty sure it's not. Looks like
a nice bike if the fork were turned the right way. I tried to bid $50 but
someone already had a higher bid up.

I had someone try that once, with a "No Early Birds" sign posted at the gate.
He tried to start buying as we brought stuff out, and I told him to go away
until 8:00. He wouldn't. The police made him, and I refused to sell him
anything when he came back at 8:00

Never had any trouble again ;-)

What the hell?... The guy is aching to buy stuff from you as you are
bringing it out, and you call the police on him? What do you do to people
who show up early for dinner parties?

OK, I'll have to spell it out in words of two syllables....

The sign said "No early birds" (accepted locally to mean "feck off until the
time posted"😉 and this guy is out 1 hour before Opening Time, on my land,
looking in boxes while I am carrying them out of the garage. I asked him
nicely to leave. He didn't. I asked him bluntly to get off my land until
Opening Time. Be laughed and said he was trying to do me a favour. I asked
him _very_ rudely to leave, while my widfe and children stood there wondering
why I hadn't got the shotgun out yet. He started to get uppity and [censored].
    On my land.

I called the cops. They asked him extremely nicely to bugger off. I added
that he should not come back.

    We sold everything without him.

    Happy? I was. ;-)

Yeah, I only ever did one car-boot sale, not long ago with Kath Taryn, and
Anne (MIL). We pulled up at our space and had people yanking the doors and
boot open, pulling boxes out, ripping them open and digging/tearing through
stuff (including china and glass ware) throwing done what they didn't want
BEFORE WE HAD CHANCE TO GET OUT OF THE [censored] CAR!!!!

Needless to say, I leaped out the car and told them threateningly and in no
uncertain terms all to [censored] the hell off until we were set up OR ELSE!!!
They did, and they STILL came back to buy

I tell ya, the obsessive, single minded feverishness they exhibited was
genuinely SCARY AS [censored] I refuse to do one ever again No way, never,
    nooooooooo way!

Me, too. Next time we just told a few, select, friends about it, and they

And people wonder why Ebay is so successful. Ever wondered what these

looks like he got tired of emails about it:

On Jul-29-04 at 22:09:07 PDT, seller added the following information:

Yes, the fork is "reversed"-- please don't email me and ask why.
