Formerly known as DS (Dual Slalom) and also called 4X. Norba officially changed the format from a 2
person race to 4 persons. The courses were also changed to allow four racers on the same course
bumping elbows, knees and anything else that gets in the way.

It's a made-for-tv event that isn't very interesting. Since it requires too many cameras to do
decent coverage of XC and DH racing they have short, not very technical, downhill courses which can
be covered by a few cameras. Having 4 riders race at once makes it more 'dramatic.'

Just because there are jumps on the course does not make it a BMX track. But you're partly right,
its not singletrack either. So lets see, its not bicycle motocross but neither is it pure mountain
biking. If only there was some phrase, some sort of terminology which could reflect the combination
of both aspects, some term perhaps even an amalgamation of mountain biking and bicycle motocross. If
only I had your brains JD maybe I could figure it out....
