What does cycling mean to you?

Cycling is just something I enjoy doing. I like how it gets me thinking about stuff once I get set into a steady rhythm, and I like how it also keeps me that little bit fitter overall.

I also really like the endurance aspect of it, that desire to push further. I did it a lot when I was younger and loved the adventures of pushing to just go that little bit further and seeing where I ended up.

Am always keen about getting fit because it is beneficial to my and body. Cycling enhances blood circulation and makes my muscles strong. I have never attended a cycling competition so I don't like to cycle for competition. I sometimes cycle to kill boredom. Instead of being idle, I can go cycle to avoid stress.

It's one of the way I reunite with nature. I usually go outside the urban area or, at least, make circles in the park. At the same time I'm improving my health. It's way better than using an artificial bicycle designed for home usage.

When I was a kid riding my bike is like flying for me. It gave me that sensation of flying and being free. It still feels like the same now that I am a grown up

Skiing is something interesting too, but I do prefer water sports apart from bikes. If I was younger eventually I could have tried becoming pro in some athletic area.

For me, it is about being able to get to where I need to be whilst doing something that I really enjoy at the same time, which is obviously a good thing indeed. It is great exercise, and I always find that I feel better about everything when I have been riding, because it seriously helps me to reduce my stress levels, which of course is great in the modern world. So, I don't think that I would like it if I had to stop cycling, and it is never really a possibility that I want to have to consider.

Never thought bike riding would be fun or even something that I would do ever. then had a stroke Jan 2014, and then in oct 2015 I started riding for the first time.I had lost over 50 lbs before riding by the drs help and lost 15 riding bike. My first ride was so exhilarating if it only was for a 1 mile. now I am able to ride a 20 mile ride in a day. my goal is 35 miles which is a very scenic ride.. can not stop pedaling

I do ride to keep myself fit, besides commuting. I also like competing with my friends when I have the time to. That motivates me to continue riding. I also like to ride to avoid boredom and stress. One can also ride to lose weight when they suspect that they are adding more weight.

Here in lake city it would be great to have someone to ride with but no takes. I checked out clubs from gainesville to Suwanee and can't get a reply. solo cycling except when granddaughter wants to

I first started cycling as a way to exercise, then it slowly but steadily evolved in to a way of life for me. If a day goes by without cycling for whatever reason I really get that feeling that something is missing. I love cycling.

Freedom

The cool air rushing across my face, streaming my hair, pulls me a smile all the time.

Well, I've always enjoyed riding ever since I was a kid. In some ways cycling represents freedom. There's nothing better than riding your bike during a sunny day. But it's also a great way to get around. One saves so much on fuel while staying in shape. More importantly, it's a hell of a lot of fun! :)

I think I already had posted in a thread like this. But anyway, cycling is my hobby and it gives me lots of benefits - physical strength and conditioning, mental conditioning and also emotional well-being. That is why I feel bad whenever I would realize that I have no bike at the moment and still forbidden to ride because of the occasional swelling in my leg.
