Mostly just tune out to some music, although if it's at night I might catch some TV. Whatever floats your boat.

I get BORED:eek: , unless I am doing intervals or one leg workouts🙂

I have a couple of Chris Carmichael Tapes, one is for TT, the other for Climbing.....they're really hard, I haven't completed one yet....but I just park my Trainer in front of the TV and crank away....at least you can watch others suffering....

I use Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers, the kind you ride by balancing your bike on with both wheels spinning. The stationary rollers (rear wheels spin only) are easy to get bored with while the kind I use lets you concentrate on the riding with no let up. But if you are stuck with the stationary type I suggest you get a tour de france DVD (2003 recommended) and watch it while training.
One note on the Elite Parabolic rollers - the roller drums are smooth and have an hourglass shape minimizing the risk of riding to the edge of the drums.

I'm a DVD person all of the way. I've got the Carmicheal TT disc as well (came with my husbands trainer) and I agree its a killer, it took me about 4 tries (using it once a week) to get through the whole thing. I haven't been doing that one recently since I'm supposed to just be doing base right now, so I put on a movie or episodes of the Avengers - usually something I don't really have to pay much attention to, since I sometimes kind of zone out when I'm on the trainer or I have to take off my glasses, because they are collecting too much sweat....

OMG Emma Peel, the most superhot underrated babe of 60's television! Thanks for the flashback, looks like I'll be googling her all day long now .....

Then where's the fun?:pI try to mix it up: books, magazines, music, movies. Anything to distract me from the fact that I'm riding hard and not going anywhere.

I watch whatever I have on TIVO, but especially like mixed martial arts fights like the UFC and Pride. I may be hurting on the trainer, but at least no one is punching me in the face. I also use Spinervals often, and those days go by the fastest of any on the trainer. Highly recommended.
