  1. Hi all. Long time lurker, rare poster...

Today, trying to set a 3rep PB on dips.

I go deep as I can.

On the #3, I was about to give when I summoned super-human Arnie strength (T1 Arnie, not T2 or T3). 🙂

I got #3 but as I did it my neck just got all tense and then I got these two deep red lines from behind my ears, down my neck to my traps. They went away after about an hour.

Anyone else ever see/get this or should I hit the clinic? haha! 😉

    Okey-dokey. There's one problem. Don't. Just don't.

Oh, yeah, I used to do that with three plates on the belt. Real cool
lookin'. Yeah, it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Or
tears a pectoral at the medial attachment. Or causes a rotator cuff
    impingment.

I suggest you not let your shoulders dip below your elbows. The
    choice is yours.

I agree that going below 90 degrees at the elbow is unwise, but I
would be interested to hear how many eyes you have seen "lost" while
    people were executing deep dips.

I regularly do dips with additional weight and the only organs at risk
    are my collective marriage tackle.

Doing 3 rep PBs on dips full range is an injury in the making...not if
    but when.
