  1. Just need to have a [censored]. Wet ride in this morning and everyone seemed
out to get me. One cager cut me off by driving into the bike lane on a
freakin round about (as I was entering coming down from 40k's in the
wet). Then a smidsy as I get close to work. They were turning right
from a car park onto the road I was on, intending to go in the same
direction as me. Me in the left lane. I saw them turning just as I
approached the car park and I thought "... a bit rude..." but assumed
they'd go into the right lane... but oh no... they wanted the little
piece of road I was sittin in! Anyone care to guess the type of
vehicle? One of those ones that would give you fantastic view of the
road ahead... if you just opened your fscking eyes! A few choice words
slipped out but all in vain (just the innocent bystanders that caught my
Shakespearean prose). She saw me eventually but I'd had time to write
"wash me" on the front left fender by then. @#%!@%$@% !

That feels better... just needed to let off some steam.

Its funny how they give you LESS room on a wet road isnt it?

Ahhhhh now go and have the first coffee of the day. Or equivalent.

My approach is tempered by remembering DON'T TOUCH THE VEHICLE, as even the most gentle touch sends some cagers into absolute conniptions. Although in your situation, writing near the dusty rego plate, DRIVER IS A COMPLETE PRAT, would be in order. Or something shorter.

Yeah... just went and had a coffee to calm my nerves... um, you know
what I mean. Thinking of going out and buying some brighter coloured
riding gear this weekend though. While it was remiss of her to see me,
I like to do my best to be seen. Perhaps I should ride to work dressed
up as a bright shiny new 4WD... maybe then I'd be noticed!

    my prose of choice is

"Also available in <insert colour of car here>"

i liked (who was it?) the stickers being placed on 4WDsalong the lines of
"I'm changing Global weather. Ask me how" (or summat like that)

That is freakish - we were just discussing that ten minutes ago in my
office! We were thinking inflatable car suits to go over you and the
    bike?

I wore stealth yellow today, and I saw a male cyclist near St Peter's
nearly get taken out by a b!tch in a you-know-what as she backed out of
the school onto the roadway. He, too, was in stealth yellow. He hit the
brakes really hard and aimed for the gutter, and she only just missed
him. He didn't even touch her precious POS... I was going to u-turn and
offer to chase her down but I let it go.

The most visible motorcycles are those belonging to people who the
cagers reckon would *hurt* them if said cager did something stupid.

Cop bikes and bikie gang bikes.

I See A Great Need - a gang of distinctively drssed cyclists who beat
people up and trash errant cars. Then other cyclists can dress just
    like them....

Ahhh yes. Me and Kath and Stealth Kat were almost taken out the other
friday by idiot woman who didnt see me even afterwards as we lane split
along side with Dave homicidal and thumb on horn. Not untill Kath
tapped on the window at the lights and pre empted me by being so sweet
    and reasonable

Dave was going to go for the favoured option. "Apologise or I break
    your nose!!!!! CHOOSE!!

Woman appeared upset that she had nearly hurt the Kathy. I don;t think
Dave or Stealth Kat figured in the equation at all. I did point out to
her that the gap she had driven into actually contained a bright orange
motorcycle with its headlight on and two people on it that she had
missed noticing from 8 feet. (And from 2 feet when I was beside her
with my thumb on the horn)

    Some of em need culling.

Wet roads today. Pushy downstairs with 2 flats. Thats what I deserve
for working on my hols I spose. Bloody glass. Must come from all the
    bike/ bike crashes hey.

Even freakier... just mentioned the smidsy to a work colleague and she
reckons that the apparent increase in poor driving during wet weather is
due to the drop in barometric pressure. Perhaps under conditions of low
atmospheric pressure people's brains start coming out their ears!? It's
very apparent here in CBR when it rains. The ACT road rules state that
when it's wet you must drive closer to the vehicle in front of you; stay
in the right lane unless undertaking; and do not give way at a round
about, especially if another vehicle approaching or on the roundabout
may prevent you from doing a spectacular fishtail on exiting. The major
road rule change in wet weather in the ACT is that cyclist no longer
exist when it rains... who'd be out in the wet anyway!?
