    Just got power back on after loosing it at 6:20pm Thursday. My family is all safe and my backyard is
    trashed but no damage to the house. Did I miss anything good while I was out? ;^)

    Sisters pecan trees went bare. My mother lost her job shelling them. All down at Beaufort NC and the
    roof is in dire need of work. And for me up here in New London CT it was just 40 mph winds and rain.
    I've seen worst storms in the winter with wind and rain. But if I didn't secure things from the
    porch I would have lost the battle. The garden,lighting, and decorations are safe. It was easier
    pulling them then replacing them on the porch.

    VA Peninsula (Newport News): Part of the 5% that lost NO power/phone/TV/water

    Minimal damage - roof shingles in the pool. Many closeby neighbors lost fences, cars, trees

    A little farther away (Hampton) many people got flooded out.
