  1. Ugh. I haven't ridden in months. Friday I completed a 19 day work binge.
Uggh! So I spent most of yesterday keeping my couch warm. This morning
I forced myself to go ride. Okay, so it was an easy 14.5 mile road ride, but
the mental therapy was desperately needed. Oooh, that felt good...

I sold my K2 trail bike to help fund the new ride. Building this myself. I went
with a '04 SC Heckler frame with 5th E shock (sorry JD). Built the wheels,
also. That was a fun learning experience. Just had my LBS order the fork,
should be here about the same time as the frame. Decided to go with a Marz
Z1 FR ETA QR20. Now I just need brakes, crankset, shifters. Thinking of
    going SRAM.

Well, I'd keep going but I'm still exhausted from that extended work week.
    Later.

If I crashed into a tree and nobody was around
to hear me scream, did I really make a sound?

I just recently got a Heckler with a 5th Element rear shock also. I've been
having a great time with the bike, you will enjoy it once to get back to
    riding.

Just wondering. How much will cost you this bike?
I don't believe building a bike would cost less than buying one, but I'm
sure that you can have exactly what you want.

All of the bikes we have built have come in cheaper than buying one already
built. If you do the research, you can find things cheaper in order to build
    the bike.

Still have my Kona Stinky for FR/DH (I stink at both), but at 38 lbs it's a bit
tough for the normal rides here in the Pacific North Wet. Everything up then
down. Still waiting for those Arturo Fuente's and cognac...

I'm looking forward to playing with the 5th. That will be a new experience for
me. I'm used to riding a basic Noleen or Fox Vanilla shock.

    Still got yer Bullit?

Do you think that you can come up with a new question to ask me? Or is that
    your default signature?

Roughly around $3000, including taxes and shipping. About the same as
what the LBS I'm buying the frame from asks for a built bike. I can't afford
to go with everything I want, so I have to skimp here to fund there... etc.
But I get to pick the most important (at least to me) stuff. I can always
    upgrade the seatpost later.

Yes, I still have. It is scheduled for an overhaul on components when I get
a chance to work on it.

You referred to me, kid. Or is that your default leg-hump?
