not sure about the B&B, but we always use the Swallow Falls hotel in
Betws if there are a few of us. It has the hotel (normally nice and
cheap on the night if they have any rooms left), a YHA and a good
campsite. And the bar does an excellent pint of bass and some good
post-walk food.

I stayed in Llanberis with friends in the summer of 2002 at the
Galt -y -Glyn. The hosts were superb and the hotel had the walkers laid back
feel. If the same hosts are there then I'm certain you would not be
disappointed.

Two 'ff's is a soft pronounciation, isn't it? I've visited Wales regularly
for half a century but haven't fathomed out the pronounciations yet! No
doubt Paul will tell us.

"Traffest" sounds like Pen-y-Pass on a Bank Holiday :-)

Llanberis is not a bad place, lots of B&B options around. Nant Perris is
good, with a good pub. Capel Curig is probably better of you can find
somewhere around there. Alternatively, Bedgellert is a really nice place.

They do. Welsh is phonetic - apart from the y - each letter has one
way of being spoken. dd ff and ll are counted as single letters.
