YUCK! Butt floss? Sorry, I'm too practical for that. There has to be a
happy medium between butt floss and granny gutgrabbers.why yuck?
thongs are the most practical and comfortable kind of underwear i can
imagine. they stay in place, they don't ride up, no panty lines, take up
less room in the laundry...or you could just go without. just make sure your shorts don't have a seam
running up the center if you try that.heather, flosses every day
hmmm. Maybe I should try them again. The last time I tried them I thought
it felt weird. But no worse than what I've been running with!

I hope your dogs are feeling better, especially the snow-loving one.
it's a good thing that i love him and he's dying, or i would have kicked
his ass after work today! (ok, not literally, but i wanted to be mad at
him!) he doesn't like when he has to stay in my room when i'm at work
(he prefers to hang out on my son's bed) so he peed and crapped all over
the entire floor while i was gone and then he walked in it and tracked
it all over and even managed to cover my little boston terrier dog with
poo. i would blame it on his illness, yet when i put him in my son's
room i can be away all day and there never is any of this happening.
sigh. i am considering buying doggie diapers for these rare times when
he has to hang out in my room.
my boston terrier put out his back the other week (just like a person
might!) but he's doing better now, except for being covered in poo.

it does feel kinda weird, you're right, i think mainly because it's
novel and so one tends to notice it more? (i dunno, everyone's different
and they might be uncomfortable for you in a way they aren't for me)
i've been wearing them since college (i'm 38 now) so maybe i have a
butt-callous 🙂

ps- my thighs rub together and make my shorts bunch up too unless i wear
the tight lycra kind.
determined said:Um, I don't think so. Here's my embarrassing admission - my thighs rub
together some, even though I'm not overweight. So I've been wearing
spandex-type shorts. Typical running shorts that I'm aware of would not
save me from thigh chaffing... If it's not snug, it tends to ride up.
sorry, i forgot to mention in my last reply that there are some spandex
type shorts (i have some from the brand "champion"😉 that come with a
cotton panel crotch as they are intended to be worn without underwear,
just in case you haven't seen any of those and if that would help at all.
h (apparelently really into underwear)

OH! I've seen the Champion brand at Target, I'll take a closer look.

Glad I'm not the only one ;-) I thought once I got down to an ideal weight
that would stop, but it hasn't...

Would that work for you, or do you need extra support down there ?

Excuse me if it's a stupid question, but why do you need underwear underneath
the shorts then ?

Would not recommend shopping for running clothes at Target (or getting anything
from the Champion brand)
Most of the usual running cothes brands (e.g. Sugoi, Hind, Sporthill) have "spandex
type" shorts. Running stores should have some.
Another thing I found helpful to deal with thigh chaffing was using bodyglide.

If in a pinch, you can always fill up the crack(s) with joint compund
before every run. I believe Home Depot carries it in 5 gallon
buckets.
Most elite runners, like Jelena Prokopcuka, use "Butt Spackle"(TM) by
SNL. Unlike joint compound, it doesn't dry out and is reputed to
stay pliant for several hours. It's rather pricey, but I heard it's
about the only sure way to prevent wedgies.

donovan's brands would probably be a better bet. i've been wearing
champion for a long time now and it's usually ok for me, (got one weird
pair of tights that i couldn't use, my own fault for not trying them on
first) but i'm a jogging 38 year old mom and not a running runner. i had
some sugoi spinning shorts a while ago, and they were really comfortable
without underwear. hey look, a hobby that lets you shop for clothes,
whohoo! 🙂

makes sense. Why would I want to put something up if I don't want

i'm not sure what yer askin, but the reason it's uncomfortable to me
when underwear rides up is partly because you have huge bunches of
material wadding up in "there" along with the binding elastic part
that's supposed to stay lower down on your butt or leg, depending on
your style. thongs don't have any of those issues 😉i did suggest skipping the underwear all together as an alternative.
those are the only two ways to avoid a wedgy that i know of, maybe
others will be more helpful (heh....) i have "regular" underwear, but i
always regret wearing it out on a run.. just seeing the panty lines in
the mirror makes me feel old and slow. i would actually never wear it,
but boys like variety..is this enough detail to last you for the night, or do you need more?

Obvious homosexual guilt, and a poor attempt to hide it (my wife
comment)..

Um, I guess for hygienic reasons? I figured without undies the sweat issues
might get carried away. Don't you need something absorbant? Or to prevent
the seam of the shorts from going places...

What's an ideal weight then? Or perhaps a better question is, what is an
ideal bodyfat % for a 31 yr old female?

Who do you get to apply it? Does it require a contractor's license, or time
consuming permits?
