The fastest mile ever run on US soil. Also, he just ran away
from everyone although Willis picked back up some of the
time when it was too late. What has impressed me about Webb
is that he is going out with the rabbits. I do not see
anyone in the US beating him and see him making the Finals
in Athens but not winning a medal (still can't see that
    happening).

  5. While it worked for him there, one thing he'll have to learn
for Athens is pacing. He likely would have gotten his sub-
3:50 if he hadn't gone out in a 1:51-high half. Andy Hass

You mean by an American. El Guerrouj had a 3:49.92 at the
Prefontaine meet 2-3 years ago. The one in which Webb did a
    sub-4 and came to prominence.

  7. Correct, my error.

    What race were you watching?
