They didn't originally have freeze-dried beef in them. I did see
something the other day that did (a Mac and Cheese product). But
I think most of them still require that the beef be bought and
cooked separately.

Its an industrial product that came out in the 1970s designed to remove
the intense almost unbearable tedious drudgery necessary to make a
noodle and ground meat casserole type dish.

It contains dried noodles and a industrial better living through
chemistry sauce packet.

The result, which is noodles and ground beef with a sauce, isn't a bad
meal. However, it's not much more trouble to just do it yourself. I
cook up something along those lines every now and then.

Experienced cooks can take this up another step quite easily.
