Way hey I'm on, again. I have now completed 2 SR Series this year,
pending validation of my DIY 400 at the weekend.

all the AUK top brass. May ne time to dig the photocopies out ;-(

It took several months for our Majorca (March) and Humber Bridge
(April) ones to appear. Even proper perms take a long time, I spoke
with Don Black about a perm of his we did in June, I spoke with him on
June 19th, he'd sent it to the perm secretary, we have heard nothing so
far.

April when in fact is was in March, even though yours says March and we
did that 200 together! This means I have to photocopy the brevet card
and prove it was in March if I want to claim my randonneur round the
year award thing. Irritating. Me a double SR too!!

I've given up on getting my RRTY starting from March in the absence of
T-E, it will have to be June-May now (academic as I shall be doing
Randonees in those months anyway in connection with a certain French
ride). My limited experience of perms is such that I CNBA to do any
more, especially as here in Supremoland they cost more than most
calendered events.

most severe affliction AUK lists is a Hyper-randonneur (4x600); I've
also heard of "one week" SR's.

Oooh I know about the SR in a week thing - some of my club mates got
together this year and did that as a social event! I'm very tempted
too....though it is slightly worrying when other bonkers audaxing folk
call me mad.. ;- )

We DID talk about doing the West Yorks SR as perms in a week don't
forget, as the Scots would say - maybe next time. Still need a DIY 300
this year to make a DIY SR.

BMB is tempting, always has been. I have a friend in Washington, part
ot Seattle Internation Randoneurs and their Cascades 1000 looks like a
beautiful ride too. The company I work for is based in Denver, if only
I could get a trip sorted out to allow me to do one of the Rocky
Mountain Cycling Club randonees. A 400 taking in a 12000ft pass, bring
it on. Or perhaps their Last CHance 1200. If I complete PBP next year,
a 300 or 400 in the USA is all I'd need for my ISR..

One of my more attainable ambitions is to do a 200 on my fixed !

I was an SR three times over last season, but this one not even a
single so far, on account of exploding wheel rim on the Severn Across
and packing on the Kernow after 500km. The year is but young, however.

There is the Ultra-Randonneur award which is for completing SRs in 10
separate seasons. Well, I'm a tenth of the way there.
