Watching TdF Prologue

I'm heading for Constitution Hill, chance of seeing some action, but big
screen nearby.
It should be a bit of a party! I just hope we can get up early enough
for the off on Sunday (might head for Tower Bridge)

Tour de France or toddling off to Duxford to see the Flying Legends
airshow and Glacier Girl

If you register for one of the 28 LCC rides from the London Boroughs
you will be given a wist band allowing you access to their viewing
platform on Hyde Park Corner.

The orange dotted line is the outward and return prologue route
through HPC, the blue line shows the LCC's area and they will be
constructing a viewing platform there.

Numbers are restricted to 2,500 and priority is being given to "new
and returning" cyclists, so registering may be difficult at this late
stage.

Re. partying afterwards, Rapha are organising a ride to London Fields,
starting at 7pm.

I'm suggesting gathering in Southwark PArk, SE London,
for a picnic and the Event, which is a local music festival.

I believe it is, though Tom can confirm this.
I thought that you had to be in place before the prologue, and stay
there till it is over.
However, saying that I read somewhere that temporary bridges are being
constructed. So if (and I say if) there is a pedestrian bridge you would
be able to leave.

Looks like that during the prologue you would walk west to the
Serpentine and over the bridge.

Four bridges are being put in place. There are also a number of
temporary crossing points, though they close at 12.45.

clearly shows the crossing points and the sweep around Hyde Park
Corner.

I'll be driving through France with my daughter! Funny how it worked
out that we would have to go to France the weekend of the tour being
in Britain, and it goes past the end of our road too, I could have
taken a cup of tea up to the main road and watched it go past!!
