I have finally got round to finishing respacing the rear triangles of our tandems to take the nice Shimano tandem hubs I bought at the York Rally. The problem is I now need a 145mm OLN skewer for one of the rear wheels (the old one was 135mm and too short). A quick Google has drawn a blank. Does anyone know where they can be bought or have one (pref Shimano) they would be willing to sell?
try giving USE or Hope a call, I'm sure they would make some for you of that length.

Surely your LBS (if you have such a thing) will order one for you, won't it? Failing that, there are plenty of on-line tandem specialists, although the postage might be a nuisance for the US-based ones that we tend to use these days.

Yes I have one or two LBS but these days I buy mainly on-line and was surprised to find none of the usual suspects, including SJSC who sell the tandem hubs, had them listed. Google didn't help either.

Tony
the Old Man Mountain skewer is certainly long enough, try Carradice -- --- Marten Gerritsen

Maybe not sufficiently high-volume to get on the website, but I bet they would get you one if you phoned them. I generally prefer pure on-line / email purchasing too, but when push comes to shove...
