The advantage of a negative score on my credit rating is
that I have very little debt. Inheriting the house free
and clear didn't hurt, either. Now, if only I could find
enough income to buy the toys I want.... ;-)

I actually have a really pretty credit rating. I've been in
debt up to my eyeballs, but I've never failed to pay at

There ya go! If you had had a bad rating, you wouldn't
have been allowed to have so much debt ;-) (Yeah, I know -

Nah, it's very true. Companies extending credit don't care
if you ever get out of debt -- they just care that they get
their money on time. Paying ahead of schedule, thereby
depriving them of interest, isn't what they're after.

My lifestyle choices don't reflect my desire to get out of
*all* debt, including house, and thereby not feel chained to
a job. I need to straighten that out.
