Walking running cycling clothes

The only reason I don't (usually) garden in my Regatta walking trousers
is because they cost £15-£20 a pair. Otherwise they are perfect.

Matalan own brand jeans are less perfect, but at £5 a pair (three for a
tenner in some sales) you don't have to worry about wear, tear, and
rips.
I'm still trying to get SWMBO that taking a brand new pair of Matalan
jeans out into the garden is not sacrilege.

Mind you, I could definitely use a separate wardrobe for walking clothes
(socks, trousers, base layers, jackets, etc.). Oh wait .. I've got one.

Yes, that is the ideal situation, and one of the reasons for house
prices remaining so boyant. Remember to comparmentalise and
appropriately label your walk-in wardrobe, otherwise you may find
yourself accidentally going to a black tie dinner in lycra.

Interesting you should say that because there really does seem to be a
massive Nordic walking fad over here. Where I live (South Limburg),
you can hardly move for people dragging poles along behind them. The
vast majority hold them without using the straps properly and the
poles just trail on the ground behind them. You can hear them coming -
it's been jokingly referred to as "het Nordic geluid" (the Nordic
sound). But many of them are still dressed in the full official rig,
with special shoes, trousers and all the rest of it.

Maastricht now even has a specialist Nordic walking shop with all the
gear. It's on one of the main downtown shopping streets, where lease
prices are higher even than Amsterdam, so there's obviously a lot of
money to be made.

The poster didn't ask about fairtrade products so I provided a cheap
option.

but if you want to pay 2 or 3 times over the odds just to think that
your solving your own conscience then so be it.

If your 'serious' about 3rd world poverty then throw some of your own
cash at it.

You can get special shoes for wardrobe walking-into, make sure you grab
a pair.
