Aha!! - never mind the poles, hows that neat little bit of kit panning
out?
Well I still haven't had a chance to use it for real yet, every time I
plan to go out something seems to crop up. I was going to go out this
weekend but the forecast is pretty foul.

First impressions are very good, I've written a bit about it on the ng.
I'm surprised at how much you can pack into it with the lid extended.
It feels very comfortable, even when loaded quite heavily (relatively
speaking), but it's not really designed for that. I think the max they
recommend is 15kg, but I'm only aiming to put 9-10kg in it, which feels
very nice to carry.

much did it work out at? I'm worjking on the wife to put one in my
XMas stocking.

It was £130. Apparently there are no official stockists in the UK at
the moment, so they're not that easy to get hold of here.
