I heard there's a battery operated device that can keep dogs
away while you're walking, running, etc. Can someone give me
more information about where you get this device? I also
heard it's available in electronic form.
Thanks

What are large, viscious dogs attacking you?
Many years ago, I walked the family dog & carried a cattle-
prod -- to fend off the unleashed dogs that would attack my
dog (who was certainly willing to fight, but I had him under
physical control on a short leash) -- however, that prod
wasn't something you'd want to carry while running! it was a
bit heavy, and a couple of feet long. Worked well, though.
Bzzzzzzt! bj

They slip up behind you?
I used to walk with the king dog of this small town. Any dog
that barked at or actually came into the street was promptly
put back on the side walk. I found out one night when he was
not along that just calling his name was enough. The other
dog would look in the direction I came from and run back on
the lawn. It took two or three night alone for the dog to
figure out I was bluffing. Sadly the dogs owner killed him
rather than pay for medicine. I miss him.
